Bows! Bows! Thank you my lovely people. When I started on wordpress I did it more to read and comment the wonderful posts written by fellow bloggers and today when I chanced to see that Lavender had nominated me for an award I was delighted…Here I present my badge on the very day the legendary cricketer Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar retires from international cricket..Chest puffed!!
Stealing the same format from Lavendar the way we do in record notes!
Rule 1: Each nominee must link back the person who nominated them. There, done!.. Once again thank you Lavender
Rule 2: Answer 10 questions which are given to you by the nominator. And here we go!!
1. What does your name mean?
My WP name means “Grandma” in my mother tongue Tamil. My appearance inspires in people who have a first glance at me the feeling of seeing a caring maternal being. Now generally young girls prefer assuming heroine roles instead of mama roles in the eyes of cute handsome boys! I beg to be different.. For I have grown up , been promoted to auntyhood and am tied to death with the partner. I have come in terms with life and have graciously accepted honors of being a senior citizen.
2. What are your hobbies?
Reading blogs in office hours and slyly pressing the minimize button when the team lead comes to desk is my foremost hobby. Bugging the partner and lamenting lack of attention is another favorite one.Reading for government exams has caught my fancy now.Am I leading a useful, inspiring life? Reality check!
3. According to you, what was the driving force that let you into the blogging world?
This is no secret. It is you my friends. Every single one of you! The wonderful person who had nominated this award, the thoughtful ones who had left a comment, the nice ones who had followed and read the words here are the ones who inspire me to blog. Am more a distracted individual who starts an activity with all enthu and then leaves it half way through as she has found another really absorbing activity and history repeats. It is your appreciation which is the driving force which keeps me in the blogging world.
4. What was the most recent compliment you’ve received and savored?
This award, my appraisal results at the work place, the look that the partner gives me when he is all mushy.
5. What are the top three qualities that draw you to someone new?
Thoughtfulness in act, Kindness in speech and a fair amount of interest in books, mush, philosophy and such
6. If you could eliminate one weakness or limitation in your life, what would it be?
I wish I can eliminate most of the prejudices that I have and learn to look at the glass half full. I have been on this journey for quite some time. Hope I reach the destination soon.
7. What was the best news you ever received?
The partner had a minor auto accident this week. That he is alive, safe with minimal injuries is the best news that I have ever heard for a long time.
8. If you could hold on to just one memory from your life forever, what would that be?
There are many such moments. Some with friends, some with family, some with office mates and nothing can replace the other. At this point of my life, the memory that I wish to hold forever is indeed the memories of those little nothing moments I have with the partner.
9. What’s your favorite dessert?
Rasmalai, Chocolate brownie.
10. What are the top three things on your bucket list?
One: Go on a vacation in India during February / March with the partner? Any suggestions on what places in India are good for a vacation in that period?
Two: Do an innovation project at work place by May.
Three: Get a haircut done and a good set of winter overcoats.
The last part of the award says I need to tag other people and let them know. Now am fairly a newbie here and hence am a bit shy in nominating.Am still nominating Arch and Rads. Both of them are veteran bloggers. However I came across them very recently and loved their posts.
